Alpha Innovations Launches The Laureates Fund Platform

        NEW YORK AND HAMILTON, BERMUDA (PRWEB) JANUARY 14, 2021

Global asset management firm Alpha Innovations Ltd. (“Alpha Innovations” or “AI”) today announced the inception of its Laureates fund platform (“Laureates”), which enables select investment firms to launch new funds quickly and inexpensively with the support of top service providers. This is Alpha Innovations’ second institutional fund platform brought to market in the last two years.

“Launching new funds is known to be an arduous and expensive endeavor. The Laureates platform offers the efficiency and economies of scale afforded by a typical fund platform, but takes it to the next level by accelerating fund launch to within weeks rather than quarters, and by providing uncommon flexibility through the innovative structure we have developed. It can accommodate virtually any type of regulated fund, including both open and closed-ended, SPVs, masters and feeders taxed as U.S. partnerships or corporations, as well as funds marketed toward institutional or retail investors globally” stated Lawrence Newhook, AI’s Chief Executive Officer.

This new platform complements AI’s existing onshore European platform (Alpha Innovations ICAV) and is designed for funds that are not directly marketing into the EU and seek a greater cost-efficiency. “While the platforms were originally built to host funds launched by AI and our subsidiary, AI Global Investors (“AIGI”), we have decided to make them available to select top-tier asset managers, subject to regulatory approval, so that they may benefit from our economies of scale and distribution” noted Nicole Biernat, Chief Operating Officer.

“In addition to the unparalleled flexibility, this new platform provides a far more robust segregation of assets and liabilities than any other type of umbrella fund platform, including Cayman segregated portfolio companies (SPCs)” added Chief Financial Officer, Gene Fisch Jr.

Laureates is scheduled to launch its first two funds in the coming weeks, with several additional strategies under consideration for inclusion on the platform in Q1.
